president's visit as anticipation grows ahead of his visit.
But residents of Kogelo village, where Mr Obama's father was
born and raised, will no longer have to bother with preparations for a
presidential visit, after the US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec said the
president will not be visiting Kogelo: "He has only got a certain amount
of time and thus will only be in Nairobi," Mr Godec told Kenya's KTN TV
station.
Mr Obama's paternal grandmother Sarah Obama had joined
Kogelo residents in requesting a visit from the president, Kenya's Capital FM
reports.
